NORTHWICH racer Ian Loggie is once again keeping himself very busy this year by competing in multiple UK series.

Already competing in the British GT Championship, Ian is also teaming up with Richard Neary in the Abba Racing AMG GT3 Mercedes for an attack on the GT Cup Championship.

Usually, the Abba Racing team consists of the father and son duo of Sam and Richard Neary, but Sam is concentrating on British GT, so Ian has chosen to join them.

During last Thursday’s official test day at Donington Park, Loggie got his first taste of the Abba Mercedes to see how it compares to the 2 Seas Motorsport Mercedes he races in British GT.

As the clock struck 9am, the session started but as the track was damp, most of the cars stayed in their garages.

Within the hour, cars started venturing out and that included Loggie. The Abba car with its chrome green paint is hard to miss and Ian wasted no time in pushing on.

The Mercedes was fighting back though as the back end was certainly not facing forwards through many of the corners.

As the day went on, the guys certainly put the miles in and were consistently at the top of the timesheets and although there wasn't the full compliment of competition, it was still a useful session for Loggie as he readies himself for the first race next month.
